When the gap is located between two teeth, your dentist will use a traditional bridge. A traditional bridge consists of two crowns that are attached to the adjacent teeth and hold the fake tooth in place. In cases where the gap is at the back of the mouth with only one tooth to attach to, a cantilever bridge is used instead.
