Dental Veneers in Surrey

If you have chipped, broken or discoloured teeth, ask your dentist about dental veneers. Dental veneers are thin tooth-coloured shells that are attached to the front of the teeth, helping to improve their overall appearance. You can get single veneers or multiple veneers to cover the top eight teeth at the front of the mouth for a flawless result.

What Is the Process for Fitting a Dental Veneer

To apply a dental veneer, the front surface of the tooth must be prepped. Your dentist will grind down the front surface of the tooth to make space for the dental veneer. They will then take an impression of your teeth to make a mould, which is sent to the dental lab. Alternatively, your dentist will apply composite material to your tooth and shape and cure the veneer in the clinic.

How to Care for Your Veneer

Once the anesthetic has worn off, you can eat and chew your food normally. Porcelain veneers can last anywhere from 10-20 years with care, but it’s essential to take some precautions. Try to avoid biting into hard objects that may damage the veneer. Cut up hard food where possible and chew with your back teeth. Brush and floss your teeth as usual to keep your veneers in good condition.
